New Castle as it is Today
Now the city of New Castle is a mere shell of what it once was. The city has lost many of its’ jobs and has found a place amongst the countless numbers of nameless cities found in this country. Many of the areas that New Castle once incorporated was severed and established as separate communities. The only remaining thriving industry is the fireworks industry. New Castle is the fireworks capital of the world and will always proudly display this honor. However there are a few redeeming qualities that New Castle has over many of those nameless cities. That is some wonderful architecture that was built during the time of its’ economic prosperity. Things like the Castleton Hotel and the old post office still remain. While it seems dire for the city many of the people in charge are trying to reclaim some of the old glory that was New Castle, and I wish them the best of luck.
